Ivan „Ivica“ Maksimović je srpski rok, folk i pop gitarista. On je takođe kompozitor, aranžer tekstopisac i glumac. Svirao je u jugoslovenskom hard rok bendu „Metro„, pop-folk bendu „Ljute papričice“ i sadašnji je član The No Smoking Orchestra Emira Kusturice. Takođe je aktivan u više projekata pop i folk pevača, a najviše je sarađivao sa Vesnom Zmijanac i Luisom.
Ivan „Ivica“ Maksimović je rođen 12. avgusta 1962, u Jagodini. Ivan je počeo da svira gitaru 1971, inspirisan muzikom Dip Parpla i Led Zepelina. Počeci njegovog stvaralačkog rada vezuju se za rad benda „Metro„. Kasnije je svirao sa dosta muzičara, od najmanjih do najvećih klubova, salama i stadionima. Kao studijski muzičar snimio je veliki broj ploča, kaseta i CD-a.
Ivica takođe svira i druge gudačke instrumente, kao što su: buzuki, baglama, saz i oud.
Od 2003. sreo se sa svetski poznatim filmskim režiserom, gitaristom i kompozitorom Emirom Kusturicom i počela da svira sa njim i Dr Nele Karajlićem u bendu No smoking orkestra (The No Smoking Orchestra). Svirao je gitaru na saundtreku za film Život je čudo, Zavet (sa bendom Stribora Kusturice The Poisoners) i Plavi Ciganin. Ivan takođe glumi ulogu inspektora Maksimovića u filmu Emira Kusturice Zavet .
Takođe učestvuje u pank – operi pod nazivom „Vreme Cigana“, Emira Kusturice, koja je uspešno izvedena u Parizu mnogo puta.

Ivan ‘Ivica’ Maksimović is a Serbian rock, Balkan ethnic, folk and pop guitarist. He is also a composer, arranger songwriter and actor.[1] He played in the Yugoslavian heavy metal band Metro, pop-folk band ‘Ljute papričice’ and is a current member of The No Smoking Orchestra. He is also active in several other side projects with pop singers.
Ivan Maksimović was born on August 12, 1962, in Jagodina, Serbia. Ivan started to play guitar on 1971, inspired by the music of Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. His first band was formed on 1972. He played with a lot of musicians, from the smallest clubs to the largest halls and stadiums. As a studio musician he recorded around 1500 records, tapes and CD’s,[2] although a precise number can’t be determined. Ivica also plays other string instruments, such as bouzouki, tzuras, baglamas, saz and oud. In 2003. he met the world famous film director, guitar player and composer Emir Kusturica and started to play with him and Dr Nele Karajlić in their band The No Smoking Orchestra. He played guitar on the soundtrack for the movie ‘Life is a Miracle’ (as a member of TNSO) and ‘Promise me this’ (with Stribor Kusturica‘s band The Poisoners). Ivan also portrayed the role of inspector Maksimovic in Emir Kusturica‘s film ‘Promise me this’. He also took part in a punk–opera called Time of Gypsies, made by Emir Kusturica, which is accompanied by successfully in several cities in the world.
